Soil and Weather: Production
Our plantations are located in Los Ríos province, at 73 meters above sea level. Its good location and the amount of rain, concentrated in the first 5 months of the year with 2800 mm of annual precipitation, favor our soils, which are categorized as triple A (high quality) soils; silty soils of alluvial volcanic origin.
Infrastructure
We possess the best infrastructure in the country concerning to production facilities and fruit packing.
– Our drainage, irrigation, fruit transport and processing systems follow high efficiency standards that allow us to produce high quality fruit.
– We have incorporated online information technology in our system of traceability, to fulfill our commitment to transparency and make better use of information for decision-making.
Quality
Our partnership with the PROCESS-IQ system program designer, allows us to implement an online APP that controls all of our operations.
We initiate a sales trial process with supermarkets in South Korea also we have sales agreements with UNIVEG through Sweet Peel for markets in Germany, France and Denmark.
Tecnology
What is it?
For the first time in Ecuador, Allweights, it is a real-time APP that allows our clients to see our quality control process.
How does it work?
Our clients can see the weight of each box packed for them. They receive real-time audit results of up to 2% of the total boxes with photographs of the process.
In the near future our customers will have at their disposal the real time data of the audits carried out in the packing plant. This way, our customers and our plantations will have statistical data that will be used to further quality improve of our banana boxes produced.
They will also have an online record of the weights and quality of their boxes for each container.
